Elementary: ’98-’04
My love for creation and art has always existed inside me, from the time I was in elementary school creating basic computer games, through my post college life with music, video, photography , etc… It started when I was in 1st grade and my fascination for the Lucasfilm StarWars. I fell in love with the StarWars saga and begin to draw the ships and figures from the movies. Through elementary school, the StarWars love went from sketching images, to a desire for game design and special effects animation. This game design desire turned into reality after I entered sixth grade and joined the cyberstore, a gaming and computer learning shop in Solana Beach, CA. There I began creating computer games in the program StageCast Creator, a simple, yet powerful, computer game engine. From there I continued into middle school, and randomly decided one day to save up for and learn guitar.

Middle School/High School: ’04-’09
The guitar took over my life and I was not able to put it down for about two years, before I picked up photoshop and videography in high school. I then formed a band with student from Canyon Crest High school, in Carmel Valley, CA, Vintage Black. During the next year my experience with sound engineering grew as every one of the bands songs where recorded in my room. My knowledge of video and graphic design also grew in the time, I was working with Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and Motion. I was able to design the flyer for all the shows my band played, shoot and edit music videos, and play with animated video titles in 3d. With help of a class mate and a joint effort between the two of us, the Vintage Black band website was born, this is when I started into web design. I didn’t really do much with it at first and for a long time all the coding looked like gibberish. It wasn’t until I purchased my first video camera, Panasonic DVX-100, and started a production company with my girl friend at the time.

Senior Year/College: ’09-’10
My first production company was named Clear Glass Productions, formed in 2009 when I was 17 years old and a senior in high school. This lasted about a year before we changed our named, branding and website, to DFM Studios(Dillan-Francesca-Media Studios). It was shortly after this time that I began working with my Aunt and Uncle from Modern 8 Films shooting weddings and discovered through them the art of the d-slr. This is when I decided I wanted the Canon EOS Rebel T2i, which I ended up receiving as a high school graduation present. About 6 months after this I purchased a Canon 60D and Canon 50mm f/1.8, and started a new company by the name of Stockham Media.

Post College: ’11-present
Stockham Media was my dream to become a large production company that would spread all over southern California. It wasn’t until I began working with my current partner, Keith Boone, and opened yet another company, New Cast Productions. New Cast took the role of what I desired Stockham Media to become, and Stockham Media became what it is today.
