For those who are un-aware of the update. Magic Lantern is a community of coders that have reverse engineered firmware on Canon cameras in order add custom features to the cameras that allow them to perform like the big boys. They add amazing features to the cameras that would otherwise cost much more money in far more expensive camera bodies. The most recent of these upgrades is the ability to shoot raw video with the 5D mkIII and leaving the possibility to be able to do the same with the 5D mkII and T3i (maybe) in the future.

The importance of raw video:

Why is this really important? The amazing thing about raw is that is capture every bit of information that comes of the cameras sensor and keeps it all with out throwing any bit of it away. This allows for far more control when you bring the footage into editing software and need to alter colors or bring down the brightness of things that are two bright. It allows the video footage to be closer to what the human eye can see. This has always been available in cameras costing $20k+ until last year when a company called Black Magic Design released an amazing camera that was capable of shooting raw video for $2k. The only issue is that it took an extremely long time for that camera to actually ship to people and the production of the camera has now been put on halt. With thousands of videographers shooting with the Canon 5D mkIII, they will all suddenly be able to shoot incredible raw video with out having to purchase new camera and new lenses.

The 5D mkIII is THE FIRST full frame raw video camera EVER. This is remarkable and we plan on seeing some amazing footage very soon.

Compost is a key ingredient in organic farming. The decomposition process is aided by shredding the plant matter, adding water and ensuring proper aeration by regularly turning the mixture. Worms and fungi further break up the material. Aerobic bacteria manage the chemical process by converting the inputs into heat, carbon dioxide and ammonium. The ammonium is further converted by bacteria into plant-nourishing nitrites and nitrates through the process of nitrification.

This house was surrounded by a very nice neighborhood with lots of beautiful green trees and shrubs. This is located in Carlsbad, California, which is a great area not far from the beach with lots of near by attractions.

There is plenty of floor space in the house and the master bedroom is plentiful with space and has two large walk-in closets and a his and hers side of the master bathroom. The view is of the community surrounded by green and nature. The real estate photography for the turned out to be wonderful and made myself want to move in!

This was an amazing road trip that was unplanned and had no final destination, It was simply, take amazing landscape photography then turn back and go home when we get tired. Natalie Berry, and I, did this trip together and this was our first time seeing Big Sur and Monterey. It was my first time seeing the golden gate bridge and the whole experience was incredible.

The ocean alongside Big Sur was stormy and choppy, as well as the wind was blowing quite fast, and this combination created some of the biggest waves we have ever seen with  majestic mist spraying off the top of every way from the wind. The bridges throughout big sure were incredible and every look out point had something different to offer from the last. The incredible beauty seemed endless as we drove, and drove through this amazing place. We stayed at the Fernwood Motel and experienced some of the best hamburgers we’ve ever had. We would definitely recommend this motel.

We left Big Sur and came into Monterey, where we had delicious crepes at the Monterey Crepe Co. We drove along the shoreline of Monterey and stopped at a beautiful spot where the waves crashed over the rocks and made for some amazing photos. We needed to be in and out of Monterey pretty quick as wee needed to make our way to San Francisco before night fall.

We arrived at the Golden Gate Bridge about an hour before sunset and stayed for 2 hours. It was very cold and just a bit windy and we needed to start our trek back into the city through the outrageous traffic. While we were up there we watched the bridge transition from day to night and watched the lights turn on and really were able to have the full experience of the Golden Gate.

The third day of our trip we had breakfast at Johnny Rockets and started our journey home. Now that we have had the taste of this incredible beauty in California, we will absolutely be back again for a longer trip.

What a privilege it was to be able to be apart of such an event. Mr. V contacted us about 2 months prior to this proposal and we could not have been happier to be selected to capture these truly wonderful moments on video. This couple had been together for about 8 years and finally decided to solidify their love for each other. We were overwhelmed with emotion when Ms. M had said yes. She then turned around to find all of her closest friends and family, who were secretly watching and waiting behind her, for the moment, when Mr. V would bow on one knee, and ask, will you marry me. We will never forget this video and what a Joy it was to work with Mr. V and Ms. M.

This was at Sea Port Village in San Diego California, and the weather and public could not have been more accommodating.

Jenna and Eric are a beautiful couple and it was a real pleasure to shoot for them. The wedding was at the beautiful Rancho Bernardo Inn, in San Diego CA. The ceremony was right around sunset which provided us with some nice, soft, shaded light. The family were all very loving and had great stories to tell. I have worked with the dj, Greg, from Maximum Impact, and he is always very helpful when letting us know when things are about to happen and he always makes for a fun time as a dj. I had the privilege of working with Jackie Wonders Photography for the first time, and they, Jackie and Elliot, were awesome. They were so creative with their shots, and lighting and were quite fun to be around.

The traditional nature of this home appealed very much to my sense of style. I enjoyed shooting this home and the scenery around it. It’s amazing how close to the water you are and the amazing path way that resides on the cliff above the ocean. This really is a beautiful area and I am sure anyone would love to live here!
