How they met, according to the Bride and Groom: “Our first attempt at a first date was thwarted by the Snowzilla storm of January 22, 2016 when Damien decided to get out of the storms harmful way and head north to Canada. Luckily, the first date was successfully re-scheduled to a seasonably warm Saturday evening in DC in February. We quickly discovered our love for a charcuterie plate and red wine and it seems had a few things in common. It might have been the charcuterie talking but the night progressed quickly. We headed to another bar to meet her friends, things were moving quickly. It’s there, while being serenaded by faux Karaoke we shared our first kiss.” Meant. To. Be. Congratulations, Sam and Damien!

David and I met at work in the summer of 2015. It was definitely not love at first sight, we were enemies to be exact. We fought constantly at work. In late October, David decided to ask me out.

I was a bit shocked, but agreed to go because…it was free dinner. We ended up having a fantastic time. And from that point on, slowly, but surely, we were secretly falling for each other.
