Kya and Mike’s Beautiful Love Story

Kya and Mike’s love story began when a mutual friend introduced the two when they were kids (13 and 15 years old). The couple stayed in touch throughout the years until ultimately falling for each other during Kya’s freshman year of college. After a couple of years of long-distance dating which they proved was challenge that their relationship could a, Mike moved to San Francisco (where Kya was going to school). Mike proposed to Kya on the Golden Gate Bridge and the rest is history. After graduating college, they moved back down to Kya’s hometown of San Diego. The couple will be having an intimate wedding at the Villa de Amore Wedding Estate in Temecula, CA.

“We met in middle school. Travis was in 7th grade and I was in 8th. Travis was one of my younger brothers skating buddy. He would come over and hang out or even spend the night at the house. I can tell he was crushing on me and I just thought he was adorable but I also thought he was my younger brothers friend and was just “too young”. We had ONE moment where Travis spent the night, while everyone was asleep, we stayed up late and talked all night in the hallway and just held hands…then he moved and I went to high school. 22 years later, after being married, kids, etc…he found me on Facebook, as we know the same group of friends….we had coffee and sparks flew….we rekindled our little crush for each other….the rest is history….
