Jax & Seth's Love Story
Some wedding days are beautiful because of the setting, the details, or the way everything comes together. And then there are wedding days that stay with you because of the people.
Jax and Seth's was one of those.
Celebrated in The Garden at Lakehouse Resort in San Marcos, their wedding brought together so many of the things we love most about documenting weddings: family, tradition, genuine emotion, and two people who very clearly just love experiencing life together.
From the beginning, that seems to have been a theme for Jax and Seth.
Being together felt natural almost immediately. An early date carried them from place to place because neither of them was quite ready for the night to end. That same spirit followed them through the years, from Joshua Tree to Monterey, Chicago to New York, Sonoma, Napa, Mexico, and plenty of places in between. What started as simply wanting a little more time together became a life of exploring side by side.
Their wedding felt like a beautiful reflection of that life.
Surrounded by the people who know and love them most, Jax and Seth celebrated beneath the trees and greenery of The Garden with a day that was joyful, emotional, and deeply rooted in family. Their Jewish traditions brought an especially meaningful sense of history to the ceremony, a reminder that a wedding isn't only about two people beginning something new, but also about the families, stories, and generations that brought them to that moment.
There were so many moments we loved documenting: the anticipation before the ceremony, the emotion beneath the chuppah, the laughter between Jax and Seth, and the stories shared by the people who have watched them become who they are.
And through all of it, there was this wonderful sense that these two simply belong beside each other.
Bringing all of those moving pieces together was Holly Kalkin Weddings, whose planning and coordination helped create a day where Jax and Seth could be present with the people they loved most.
As photographers and filmmakers, we're always looking for more than beautiful images. We want to preserve the little things that eventually become the big things: the sound of someone's voice, the way two people look at each other when nobody else is paying attention, a parent's expression during the ceremony, the laughter during a speech, and the people gathered together in one place at one moment in time.
Jax and Seth's wedding gave us so much of that.
Years from now, the flowers and details may bring back memories of how beautiful the day looked. But we hope these photographs and this film bring back something even more important: How it felt.
Jax and Seth, thank you for trusting us to preserve this chapter of your story. It was an honor to witness it, photograph it, and turn these fleeting moments into something you and your families can return to for generations.
